Jesus Cipher Week 4 - Israel at Mount Sinai 2

The relationship God offered to the entire people of Israel (“you will be my kingdom of priests, my holy nation”) was rejected by the people. Motivated by fear and (in my opinion) selfishness, they refused to join Moses on the mountain and chose a representative form of relationship instead. They would put a small group of people (or even just one person) between themselves and God. God did not prefer this form of religion, but he accepted it and created for them a system that reflected their request.
